Oklahoma Energy Resource Board

Our first act as partners was to move away from a clunky acronym (OERB) to embrace a new, more inclusive way to sign off communications. The new calling card? “We are the people of Oklahoma Oil & Natural Gas.” The name is fitting. As neighbors and parents and coworkers, Oklahoma energy providers know that their industry contributes billions to education, is the state’s single largest taxpayer, and generates the most economic activity in the state. TRG enlisted Mike Rowe to bring these success stories to life, making the connection between what members produce (fossil fuels and market-driving pipelines) and how dependent our modern lives are on affordable, sustainable supplies of oil and natural gas. Positive sentiment toward the industry reached an all-time of high of 88% in 2024 and is holding steady.
