Inspired by founder Dave Dahl’s own story of redemption, Dave’s Killer Bread has actively hired people with criminal backgrounds for nearly 20 years, giving former offenders a chance to turn their lives around. To quote a current employee: “You can work on yourself, work on your relationships, and make amends…you can do all the work you want. But if you can’t survive, you’re eventually going to do what you have to do to survive.
